How's it going?

In October we asked the question "Citizenship has been up and running for a month. How's it going?". On Thursday, 17 October we received the following reply from Baldev Singh"

"At John Cabot City Technology College in Bristol, I have developed a E-Citizenship Programme for KS3. Students have an 80 minute lesson per week where they learn about citizenship while developing IT skills e.g. analysis data using Excel on government spending, using digital camera to report on a local issue etc.

"The on-line course has been running for 6 weeks and it is popular with the students. The course encourages group work and discussion. The staff delivering the course are happy with the citizenship aspect, although some staff need to develop IT skills e.g database design."
