The use of animals in research: a controversial issue that really engages young people.

A range of resources have just been published here to help young people develop their understanding of the issues and justify their opinions. There is guidance on their use and suggested routes for Science and Citizenship lessons. The resources can be used to support the ethical dimension in science, develop skills in dealing with controversial issues and embedding Citizenship in Science.

They are based on the report of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics report on the topic.
