Maths: Data Handling: the UK population
Introduction
This series of lessons is designed to develop both data handling skills and an understanding of diversity within the UK population. It is aimed at Year 7 students but could be used with any group in KS3.
A range of data is provided. It can be used as it stands or a selection can be made. The data could also be adapted to make local comparisons with national data.
The activity also asks students to think about who uses data and how the information can help people who have to make decisions.
