War memorials: Rationale
- Students have completed a sequence of lessons on the fighting on the Western Front and on ways this has been interpreted through poetry, film, novel, etc. before doing this work.

- The GREAT criteria refers to Rob Phillips significance criteria as set out in his Teaching History article.
